Since moving back to Nevada, Zach and I have been doing a lot of networking. We’ve been introducing ourselves to new wedding vendors, learning about their businesses, and chatting about the upcoming season. So far everyone has been so welcoming and open! We’re loving the atmosphere of sweet people and can’t wait to work with all of the amazing talent here. We also wanted to share with you all (especially those future brides out there) a little blog series on the vendors we’ve been lucky to meet with.
To start us off, Zach and I went to The Grove and were instantly blown away by this venue. It’s beautiful on the outside (even more so on the inside) and there are endless photo opportunities! We can’t thank Ruthie & Gigi enough for their hospitality, tour, and sitting down to tell us all about their venue.
The Grove opened in April 2009 and has been opened year round since then. We loved the grand feeling as you walk up to the front. Its what we love to call a rustic elegance and boy does it sure wow!
The grandness doesn’t stop when you walk through the doors… You immediately set eyes on the huge double sided fireplace.
And just on the backside of the fireplace is an open room for the reception. This room has a 15×18 dance floor, dimming lights, retractable doors to outside, and this whole place is eco friendly! We LOVE love love all the giant windows and doors that allow so much natural light in!
Its stunning! And we were lucky to see them in the process of setting up for an event… their staff is efficient AND they even have their own in house chef. We got to taste a little of that too and it was delicious!
For those brides who want a slideshow during the reception, The Grove has you covered! They have a huge screen that drops down as well as a projector. We saw this in action while there too and its amazing! They really have thought of everything.
Moving onto the bridal suite… Its so pretty and what we really loved about this room is that it has a secret door to the outdoor ceremony site! It doubles after the ceremony to tuck the bride away for touch ups while guests are ushered to cocktail hour and then allowing us to sneak back out for pictures!
It might be a little silly to bring up, but check out the bathrooms! They’re well lit, open, and pretty so ladies… you’re in good hands here!!
Moving outside to the ceremony location and this is where our hearts skipped… just look at how beautiful!!
Another great addition to the The Grove is the landscaping (which might not look like much now, but we loved it with all the snow and know Spring and Summer will be even more gorgeous!) Like we mentioned the photo opportunities are endless… there are so many nooks and crannies and we can’t wait to actually shoot a couple here 🙂 And twinkle lights are never a bad thing! This venue feels worlds away from the city and in reality its nestled right in it all!
