For today’s Best of blog post I’m sharing my favorite Engagement images from 2016! I loved our winter shoots so much (they were epic) mostly because we don’t get to shoot them much and this past year we had 3 couples want snowy pictures. Heck yes!! Seriously, I’m so lucky to have such down to earth, sweet, and adventurous couples. Just see how much fun we had…
Sydney & Jack flew all the way from Texas in March to come do this stunning snowy shoot in Rocky Mountain National Park! They were so sweet and their outfits were impeccable!! It started off to be a chilly, but beautiful day and then the storm began to blow in and while it was absolutely freezing, these two killed it and we got some amazing shots in the snow! I’m still SWOONING over this one <3
Ally & Adam… these two just melted my heart! They’re high school sweethearts. They’re adorable. And they had me laughing nonstop. They shared so many little moments in between shots too and getting to witness a love so pure was touching. I know that these two will have a long and happy marriage! And just in case you didn’t recognize her face, I did her senior portraits a few years back 😉
Another session up in the Rocky Mountains. These two agreed to do a nice little hike up the mountain in order to get this one shot with a view in particular! I love when a couple is up for a little adventure and that’s exactly what it was. Zoe, Josh, Zach, and I were bundled to the max and hiking in two feet of snow. We laughed and joked and of course got some gorgeous winter photos. These two felt as if they had been friends forever! We loved spending the afternoon with them… and we’re still laughing because Zoe & Josh know how to have fun and laugh WITH each other. They had a little snowball fight and yeah, we’re still giggling over here!
Maddie & Mike were so sweet. They were warm and open armed from the moment they arrived. It made this rocky hike a blast! We tucked into the trees, got cozy on some rocks, and even froze a little in the glacier fed lake! The way that Mike makes her laugh is priceless. And the way that Maddie looks at Mike… what a thing these two share!
Ending our engagement season was Amy & Tom. I can’t get enough of them or their images. They were SO incredibly sweet. Towards us. To each other. To nature. Gosh, Amy & Tom were just the perfect couple. When we arrived it was starting to rain. Most couples would have waited it out or reschedule, but these two were determined it would be magical whatever happened and I’m so glad they held out for it. It was perfect in every way. And yes we eventually did get rained on, but it made the session even more beautiful! The mountains makes us feel so at home and sharing it with these two was special. We couldn’t be more thankful. Wishing you two a wonderful wedding in the upcoming year <3
